First day of season

Well, here is the end of April.

As the uncontrollable urge that the Groundhog wild turkey, and Brad Pitt to go this time of year is a time when an internal alarm will start in fishermen.

In contrast with these crazy sex fishermen species every year, the sense of duty is caused by …..

…. Opening day of trout season.

A time when the flowering trees, lakes thawed, and people struggling with the eternal question:

I have to cut weeds or nine inches iscatch?

For me, it's like asking, I want a hot fudge sundae or a liver transplant?

Of course, as I drive out to one of our local fishing waters here in Oregon, and spent many of the guys on the list for a liver transplant, I am grateful that not all male mentality as me.

Otherwise what was the ice and snow a month ago, would now fiberglass and aluminum. In other words, you can go on a lake from boat to boat without ever touchingwater.

To say the opening day of trout season is usually crowded, is the ultimate state-ment. Much a social event of a trip. If you are looking for comfort and a little 'quiet time, you're probably better tell your wife you'll be fishing and then down into the cellar for a nap.

At least she will not even weed harvesting.

But with water, normally closed or limited to ice fishing for six months, the chances of catching a realnice trout are really good. No pressure and a poor supply of food in the winter months, the first day, wait a day when the odds are stacked in favor of the fisherman.

This year, in Oregon we are blessed with a year of snow, which gave many high mountain lakes, meeting with more than 300 percent of normal snowpack. Fishing should be replaced by snowmobiles, fishing and can look like Eskimos as fishermen.

In places where the ice iszone, water is ccc – c cold. Below 40 degrees. These conditions usually ensures slow and lazy trout and fish that seek to distribute bags of hot water and the fish Parka. But it happened on opening day and place of Jack Daniel's stock considerably during the weekend.

So if you're on the road for the first day "fish celebration — good luck and enjoy the party.

And if you stay home to cut weeds, yes, I hope you're not in the windsome fisherman supply …..
