| I was very happy once my husband had it installed, to see his expression. It really put his old one to shame.. and he is a guy who likes his gadgets.. So if he's happy its gotta be good. Also, Its also removable so you don't have to worry about someone snatching it. I do recommend that you purchase the cover so it don't get scratched.. |

| Excellent Fish Finder but if you are buying this to also use as a GPS you might just want to re-think or be prepared to add another hundred dollars for the Navionics addition. Just a heads up to those looking more at the GPS side of the unit than the Fish Finder. |

| Purchased Humminbird 587ci from Amazon, spent hours installing & hit the water for the weekend of July 4th - GPS worked, NO SONAR, NO FISH FINDER. Returned and Amazon sent me another overnight. Installed faster second time around. Another weekend of planned fishing. GPS works, Sonar works - but it doesn't see fish. We were in 12 - 20 ft water watching 10 - 16 in smallmouth swimming under the boat. We saw the fish, old B&W Garmin saw the fish - but the new Humminbird saw nothing. Tried settings for over an hour, hauled the boat and moved the transducer 3 times to no avail. I think the company has a quality control problem. Only good thing to report is Amazon's return/replacement policy --> SUPER! |
